| Additional information: Yale Center for British Art has a, possibly unique, volume which contains the progressive proofs numbering twenty seven. Fourteen plates showing each of the single separate tints used to make the image and a further thirteen plates showing sequential superimposition of the fourteen tints. Each pair of plates comprises an impression of the single-colour stone and, secondly, the cumulative result (of the colours used so far), concluding with the finished print. | |||
